“Get wisdom, and whatever you get, get insight.”

Proverbs 4:7

I’ve been reflecting a lot recently on understanding. We can’t solve problems we don’t understand. But understanding takes a bit of investment—something we are not always willing to give.

“What do you see?” and “What is it?” are similar but very different questions. “What is it?” deals with the facts, while “What do you see?” focuses on interpretation.  Facts are facts; accurate interpretation is where differentiation lies—it is what makes us sail or flounder.

This week, determine to push for understanding. Don’t make decisions based solely on other people’s interpretations. Gather as much information on the facts as possible. Take time to explore the facts and piece them together. Avoid forming a whole thesis based on the wrong interpretation of the facts.

Yours in possibilities,
